As we always mention, we are here to help others. It doesn't matter how many questions you ask. What matters is that we are here to help each other and to learn. I don't consider myself to be the know-it-all, on the contrary. I have read every input in all our Forum's category and I've learn from each one of them!
You and our other friends is what keep this Forum alive!!!
Don't be sorry for so many questions. I wish some out there doing the wrong thing would ask as many questions as you do... maybe they might be better investigators. The word says it all; investigate, do research, learn about things, but the most important is to listen to those who've been there and are honest enough to tell you how things really are without any hipe... we'll do that for you.
I don't know what you mean by 'spiritual energies' however, I can tell you that most people call everything 'ghosts' when there is a great difference between 'spirits' and 'ghosts.' Spirits are entities that know they are dead and try to communicate with living beings; ghosts are dead but don't know it, they keep reliving their most significant portion of their lives (no matter what it was) over and over just like a record player or a cd player playing the same song over and over, ghosts don't communicate with the living at all.
EMF and the K2 meters are the same, only that the K2 has visible light signals to let you know if something has changed. During my experience as an investigator I can tell you that not one thing or theory works all the time for everything, period. I've had times when the EMF registers changes during some paranormal experiences and sometimes it has not done anything to show any anomaly when there was actually physical confrontation and personal paranormal experiences. There was an investigation where in the middle of it a room got so cold that all the investigators walked away and one of them brought back the baseline measurements (the initial EMF readings, etc. when the lights are on and you want to register for any false-positive, etc. before the investigation begins). The room according to the initial EMF reading and the one just read at that moment was exactly the same, although we all felt the freezing room, not like when the baselike was conducted.
I suggest you don't go by the hi-tech frenzy newbies go about! Sometimes is not worth it! Simple equipment are more relliable than the ones requiring batteries which might give you different readings according to how drain or not the batteries are at one point. We have used dowsing rods and pendulum in some of our investigations and they have been more and better reliable than the electronic equipment. Yes, I would love to have all kinds of gadgets and test them all, but your senses and regular equipment such as a simple compass will do just fine!!!!!!!!!!!!! Trust me!!!!!!!!
Orbs are very controversial, however, if they appear after you feel something not normal, when someone asks you to take a picture of a particular place and point right there, and things like that, there is something to think about and investigate further rather than let them be as orginary coincidence and say they are only moist or dust particules. I have a picture in here of an investigation where I asked the other investigator to take a picture of me, you will see that at the same very spot I was feeling something strange and getting feelings of being touched, the picture captured about 3 different orbs under my extended arm!!! Something like this you can't say it was me experiencing dust particles flying under my arm or moisture particles because to say that then that would be too incredible to believe that I'm able to 'feel' dust partices or moisture just as if was touching me... come on!
So, go by your instints. Also, please make sure that when you take pictures during paranormal investigation or research that you take what we called "controlled-images" technique and without moving your camera from the same spot you take at least 2 pictures.
"Some people who don't really get too excited about the paranormal are kind of hard to talk to about it, you know?"
Let me warn you that we will NEVER be able to convince a closed-minded skeptic about anything. Those are the ones that you state the sky is blue and they'll do anything possible to negate that. They'll even invent a dark cloud on the sky and say, "nope, the sky is always gray..." So, don't worry about those who refuse to be open and want to learn from other's people's ideas. We only concentrate on those who want to learn and listen... and that's why we are all here.
To make this story short, those skeptics always state that orbs are only moisture or dust particles and have nothing to do with spirits. Well, we once had a paranormal investigation where the building was full of dust, drywall all over, and all kinds of debris. We took hundreds of pictures... tell you what... we didn't get not one 'orb' (or what they say is dust particles) on any of our pictures? Lesson learn? Never get so stuck to fixed ideas because that's how it all began, when those who mentioned that the Earth was round and those closed-minded skeptics who sent them to jail or killed them for 'profanity' to 'those who know'....
