Many years ago when I was in my early teens we were going to visit relatives in GA...we lived in Jacksonville at the time...and it was dark before we arrived at my relatives house. As we went through one small town in GA I suddenly began telling my mom and a friend of hers that I had been there before. She told me I had not but I told her I had and began telling where places were in this town. I was right each time...but I knew I hadn't been there with my mom or any relatives. It was a very strange experience...I knew people who lived there and how to get places...another vision that keeps coming to mind is that of me many, many years ago in ancient Greece sitting on a cliff under a lone windswept tree looking out over the ocean. Everytime I read something connected with ancient Greece, it is so familiar to me as if I'd been a part of what I was reading. Then there is the feeling I get that I was in WWII and something happened at sea. I am very much afraid of being on a ship.Small lakes and rivers do not bother me but the ocean does. I also feel I lived at some point in the old west...there are places that are so familiar to me and I've never been there before. Whether there is something to all this or it is only imagination...impressions I get about times

Robert,... thank you for posting a comment.

In 1863,... the Russian Czar Alexander II did send his Russian warships to defend New York City and San Francisco for one year.

Why,... ?

Answer,... because... President Abraham Lincoln... sent an embassador to Czar Alexander II... to beg for the Russians to give the United States of America military help to crush the Confederates.

The Yankees were worried about that reality of seeing the Confederates to find enough international political support and popularity among the European nations to eventually send their ( European) navies to attack the United States on behalf of the Confederates.

The French and British Navies were thinking about docking their warships in New York City Harbor on behalf of the Confederates, because the French, British, and Confederate Governments were on friendly terms.

The French and British Governments knew that if they did send their soldiers to invade New York City, those European soldiers could have easily gotten themselves involved in a massive battle between the Yankees and the Confederates in the New England states.

President Abraham Lincoln knew that the best way to stop any possible European military land invasion on their United States soil, was to ask the Russians to defend New York City, from any possible naval attacks from those French, British, and Confederate armed forces.

In other words,... when those French and British warships saw that the Russians had docked in New York City, they were not too sure that they wanted to get themselves involved in a 19th Century naval contest against those Russian warships, thereby ultimately beginning World War I from out of the European naval cannon fire of our War Between the States (aka American Civil War) conflict.

Hi, I always wondered about reincarnation, I have a strange feeling I was killed by being stabbed from behind and I do not like anyone sneaking up behind me as it brings up that memory.

As a child I use to tell people that I was a white long haired cat with blue eyes that lived on a horse ranch in Kentucky and I would vividly describe the place, and I lived in NJ and I knew nothing about KY. But it always seemed strange to feel like I was a cat in a previous life.

My dad was a big Edgar Cayce follower and had me read books about him when I was a teen, my dad died when I was 17 and I sometimes thought that he would come back as one of my future kids but he didn't. (that I know of)

My boy friend and I were having trouble over another woman and a psychic told me that the two of them had unfinished business from a previous life and once it was resolved it would be over, I told him that and shortly after the other person ended the friendship.

My brother in law- when he was 3 woke from a nap and told his parents "my wife and kids went into the sea and never came out"
that was in 1937.

I have met people who I feel I have known in a previous life there is a "witch" here in town and I wondered why I felt drawn to her and she told me I was her baby sister in a previous life

I guess that's all for now

Hi Judy:

Thanks for sharing your views. For myself, Reincarnation is a reality, not a theory. I started having past life recall when I was 7 after being extremely ill with pneumonia. I didn't know what it was until I was 20 years old when I read my first book on the topic. However, by that time, I had a number of spontaneous past life dreams where I was a grown person in several different time eras. I didn't have a philosophical frame of reference for it; it just existed.

As a Spiritualist, communicating with entities is part of my life. One of the entities that has been kind enough to communicate with me is Djwhal Khul, or D. K. He has communicated extensively about Karma and Reincarnation.

From a historical standpoint, the Spiritualist movement disavowed Reincarnation in an attempt to make themselves more acceptable to the established religions. It didn't work of course. But the mindset of the medium is always a filter. If you believe something, it will color what comes through. Since I had no prejudice against reincarnation, I feel that is why D.K. came to me in 1977. I really haven't fulfilled my part of his work yet but have been the vehicle for some of his teachings.

After 32 years of working with people in a therapy situation, the number that spontaneously retrieve past lives is high. For a percentage of them, it is upsetting because it conflicts with their beliefs. But that doesn't change the reality of Reincarnation.

I appreciate everyone sharing. Feel free to start threads on your experiences in this group of the main forum. Share experiences, ask questions and we all can learn.

Best wishes,

Hi Peyton II:

I also have past life recall from the War Between the States era. I've met a number of people who were around at that time.

My name is Peyton II, and I was a Confederate soldier that was fighting to defend Mississippi.

I knew as of why that the Confederate Government was losing that war, but I was only a private in the Confederate army, and none of my Confederate officers would listen to me.

I knew of what needed to be done, so that the Confederates would win that conflict (actually... the Confederates did declare their 19th Century Confederate victory in Brazil http://confederados.com.br , and the Protestant confederate battle flags (Cross of Saint Andrews) are being used in the 21st Century to promote Brazilian multiculturalism, interracial unity, and love... but thats another story).

I didnt die from a Yankee gun shot womb, my girlfriend, did send me a love letter, and I quickly obandoned those Mississippi Confederate front lines, and then I did travel back to my girlfriend, and we got married.

19th Century Pope Pius IX (of the Vatican) was the only foreign nation to indirectly recognise the Confederacy as an independent nation. And,... the Vatican did... did exchange ambassadors... with the Confederates.

As I do not subscribe to this particular theory, I did want to suggest that there could be another explanation. How much does spirit communion affect our life - day by day?

God bless, J

This subject totally facinates me, I had an experience once years back, when I was around 11 or 12, I was on bended knees rolling up a large flag, when suddenly something felt very familiar to me.
I don't know if this was a de ja vu, as it was just for a few seconds and felt as though I was wringing out laundry (rolling the flag on bended knee), this has always stayed with me, I would love to be regressed to find out more.
